Trailer: Ni No Kuni Movie

A movie adaptation from a video game is quite very common lately.

Although these adaptations usually turn out bad, there are some adaptations that are surprisingly good.

Currently, an animated movie adaptation for Ni No Kuni is planned for release in Japan on August and it looks promising.

If you're not familiar with Ni No Kuni, it is a 2011 video game made by Level-5.

Level-5 made numerous video games like Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, Yokai Watch, and more.

The character designs of Ni No Kuni were done by Studio Ghibli which is a very famous anime studio.

Of course, the movie uses a different story compared to the video game. Let's check out the trailer.

The movie shows us a story about a group of friends and how they're transported to another world.

Of course, the one in the wheel chair suddenly can use his legs despite being disabled which is a dream come true.

Later on, the two get into a quarrel and that's perfectly normal in a healthy relationship.

We just hope that these two work out their differences and continue to be good buddies.

We get to see that the two friends are transported into a medieval fantasy world.

We would definitely be shocked to see this world if we were in their shoes.

After all, the two of them came from a modern city in Japan.

We just hope that these two don't get squashed since they seem to be in the middle of traffic.

In the video game version, the player is also transported into a medieval fantasy setting and there are monsters in it.

The movie also uses the same concept as the game and we also get to see monsters and other non-human races.

Of course, we do hope that the movie retains the same charm and feeling that the video game offered.

In any case, Ni No Kuni is produced in cooperation with Warner Bros and Level-5.

The movie will be released in Japan on August 23, 2019.
